These terms apply to orders and enquiries made with Coming From A Good Place. We are not a limited company. Contact us at info@comingfromagoodplace.co.uk or Aizlewoods Mill, Nursery Street, Sheffield S3 8GG. Please read these terms alongside your proposal, order confirmation and our privacy policy.
Your box, your brief
All our boxes are bespoke and hand-picked. A form submission, box-builder design or automatic acknowledgement is an enquiry, not an accepted order or a confirmed delivery date. We will confirm the products, quantities, branding, price and timing with you. For a bespoke project, a contract is formed when we provide written acceptance of the agreed proposal. For a shop order, we will confirm acceptance separately; a payment receipt alone does not confirm availability or a delivery date.
Please allow three weeks
Please allow at least three weeks for your boxes. Production and delivery timing depends on product availability, final quantities, receipt of any required payment, and approval of artwork and recipient information. We will confirm the schedule before proceeding. Need them sooner? Get in touch before ordering; an earlier date is available only if we expressly agree it in writing.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. The applicable total, VAT treatment, delivery charges, deposits and payment dates will be shown at checkout or in your written proposal. Builder and calculator figures are estimates until confirmed. We will not add costs without your agreement. Card payments are handled securely by Stripe. We may pause production or dispatch while an agreed payment is overdue.
Approvals and changes
Please check the agreed products, quantities, spelling, messages, artwork and delivery details before approving them. You confirm that you have permission to supply and use any logos, images or wording. Changes after approval may affect price or timing; we will discuss this before carrying out the change. If a product becomes unavailable, we will discuss a suitable alternative. We will not make a material substitution without your agreement.
Delivery
We will confirm the delivery arrangements and any charges before the order is agreed. Please supply accurate addresses and tell us about access requirements. Multiple addresses, international deliveries and timed services must be agreed separately. If a delay occurs, we will explain what has happened and discuss the options. For consumer orders, responsibility for goods remains with us until you, or someone you nominate, takes physical possession. Different arrangements for business orders must be stated in the agreed proposal.
Cancellations and returns
If you need to cancel or change an order, email us promptly with your name and order reference. For business orders, cancellation charges must reflect the terms agreed in your proposal and any work or costs already committed.
If you are buying as a consumer, the statutory cancellation right normally allows you to tell us within 14 days after delivery that you wish to cancel eligible goods, then return them within a further 14 days. Exceptions can apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, goods liable to deteriorate rapidly, and certain sealed hygiene goods after unsealing. A hand-picked or gift-boxed item is not automatically exempt. We will identify any applicable exception before you commit to an order.
For an eligible consumer cancellation, we will refund the purchase and standard outbound delivery charge within the required period, normally within 14 days of receiving the goods back or evidence of return. You cover direct return postage unless we agree otherwise or the goods are faulty. We may make a lawful deduction for handling beyond what is necessary to assess the goods. None of these provisions limits your rights for faulty or misdescribed goods.
Consumer cancellation notice
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, you can email a clear cancellation request or use this wording: “To Coming From A Good Place, info@comingfromagoodplace.co.uk, Aizlewoods Mill, Nursery Street, Sheffield S3 8GG: I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following goods: [describe goods and order reference]. Ordered on/received on: [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].” A signature is needed only if sending the notice on paper.
Tell us if something is wrong
Contact us promptly if an item is damaged, faulty, missing or different from what was agreed. Your order reference and photographs, where practical, help us resolve it. We will discuss the appropriate repair, replacement or refund. We do not impose a reporting deadline that removes statutory rights.
Products and suitability
Please tell us about dietary, ingredient, skin-sensitivity or other requirements before we finalise your box. Check the actual product labels and instructions before use. Product photography is illustrative; handmade or natural items may vary. We will confirm relevant product information for the items selected.
Our responsibilities
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. Any additional business-to-business liability arrangements must be set out in the agreed proposal.
Questions and complaints
Email info@comingfromagoodplace.co.uk with your name, order reference and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge the issue and work with you to resolve it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or court rights that apply where they live.
